To set up https:- Obtain the public certificate and any required CA certificates from the web service provider.
- Either obtain the existing (password-protected) broker truststore JKS file, or create a new (password-protected) truststore JKS file, and add the service provider's certificate(s) to the trust store JKS file.
- If necessary, update the broker registry with the location of, and password for, the (password-protected) broker truststore JKS file.
The InfoCenter provides more detail about how to do this.
To call the web service:- Obtain the url, userid, and password for the web service from the web service provider.
- Obtain information about where to put the userid and password into the request message, and how to put it there, and any other useful information about the web service request message from the web service provider.
- Use a Compute node or similar node to build or modify the request message, according to the information obtained from the web service provider.
- Configure the HTTPRequest node with the url obtained from the web service provider, and other useful properties as desired.
The InfoCenter provides more detail about how to set up the nodes. The web service provider can provide more detail about how to set up the request message. |

Which is not what you originally claimed to be doing. SSL is a late addition to this thread. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
