To all:
I'm trying to set up a new FTE environment, we're considering replacing our old one with some new functionality, creating a new Coordination Queue manager on a new system with better specs, etc.
In setting up a DEV environment for this, I can successfully ping the FTEAGENT from the machine that the COORDINATION queue manager resides on, but when I attempt to ping the same agent from the box that IT resides on, I get the following:
J:\>FTEPINGAGENT -p FTEDEV02 SOURCEDEV
5655-U80, 5724-R10 Copyright IBM Corp. 2008, 2009. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED
BFGCL0033E: A messaging problem prevented the command from completing successfully. The WebSphere MQ completion code was 2, and the reason code was 2058. A connection could not be established to queue manager FTEDEV02.
I can see that the SVRCONN channel coming from the agent's machine is RUNNING, but I'm unable to perform any file transfers from this box. I have two other agents on two other machines that are working fine, and I can transfer files between them without any problems (ftepingagents work both ways on these machines, too).
Any insight here?
Thanks for any help you can provide! _________________ "Don't take life too seriously... you won't get out of it alive..." |

are you sure you have the right queue manager name, the right case and all, and the right connection type? RC 2058 is if my memory serves well wrong queue manager name... _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

Sadly, I've checked and double-checked... even gone so far as to cut and paste it from the other FTE AGENTS configurations that are working... _________________ "Don't take life too seriously... you won't get out of it alive..." |

2058 also gets thrown when you try to establish a bindings connection a machine that has no local qmgrs. |

Ah... now THAT is the case on this system... so if I set it up with CLIENT bindings this should work better? _________________ "Don't take life too seriously... you won't get out of it alive..." |
