I have some questions about pattern installation on v7.0.0.2:

I have a user-defined pattern called "pattern10" in workspace A. Pattern10 is testable via the Test Pattern button, and it functions as expected.

Question 1:
When the Test Button is clicked, a new toolkit instance opens , and presents a "workspace B". In the Patterns Explorer, there is residue from previously conducted test (ie: "Pattern8", "Pattern4", "Pattern1"). I've gone out to SDPShared and deleted all entries, but they continue to show. How do I get rid of the old patterns that show in the Test toolkit instance's pattern explorer?

Question 2:
As "Pattern10" works fine, I want to install and test prior to distributing. I switch to a new workspace ("workspace C"). I click download in patterns explorer and select the pattern zip file. The process completes without error, just as it did with a "helloWorldPattern". However, this time no pattern shows in Pattern Explorer, even after restart. Further, no pattern files are showing in SDPShared. Checking the "workspace C" log file "pattern.log" I can see:

Code:

Does anyone have any suggestions as to where else to look to see what is going wrong on the install for pattern10?

Yes, that can be annoying. On the other hand the workspace where you test patterns is supposed to be 'temporary'. The easiest way to get rid of ghost patterns is just to delete the workspace and create a new one.

Wow - that is a very simple suggestion and wish I had thought of it. I will try that now and see what happens.

Question 2 remains for anyone interested ...

Since Esa has been spending a lot of time recently asking questions about patterns, I was going to leave it to him to provide his hard-earned, albeit Finnish, wisdom on question 2.

Off the cuff, I'd suggest you didn't manage to properly regenerate the patternzip before trying to install it.

Sorry, I tried to localize the generated plugins in the workspace metadata, but could not find them. Since people found the embarrashing esql code generated by V 5 mapping node IBM seems to have developed better ways to hide things

Yes - I suspect the information I need is hiding. I just have no idea where to look, nor does the helpfile seem to indicate where to look. The only log I can find is saying everything worked correctly - yet no pattern! Does anyone have a direct # for Hursley? (just kidding, sorta)

This is just a post to document the result of deleting the workspace as a solution for Question 1. After deleting the workspace, the ghost pattern artifacts remain.
