It used to be that you can run broker as a trusted app only when it runs as 'mqm' user. Maybe things have changed in the newer versions.
Try mqsireportbroker to see the user it was created under (and for trusted app). |

the user that the broker runs as is always the user that issues mqsistart.
Unless you're on windows, in which case it's the user in the services control panel that starts the service. |

Just fyi - from version 6.1 onwards, running WMB runtime on Unix (AIX Linux, et. al) under the mqm Id will produce hangs because mqm primary group is mqm not mqbrkrs.
Several (many) document update requests have been submitted to the technical writing team via the InfoCentre to get the documentation corrected. _________________ http://leanpub.com/IIB_Tips_and_Tricks

You can add to that the numerous (well several) posts here in this very subject.
It would be nice if there was s etting in Broker that would enable/disable a message to be output if the broekr was being started under the wrong user id. _________________ WMQ User since 1999

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions. |
