Hello, guys
I read through several posts here, but still have some doubts, perhaps they're too simple to be discussed... Would you please help tell if my following thoughts are right?
1. FASTPATH works for BINDING apps only, that means, the APP has to reside on the same host as the QMGR itself.
2. FASTPATH is set at the QMGR level, that means, it can only be turned on for all the BINDING applications and all the channels and all the listeners at the same time. It's not possible to set FASTPATH for a single channel/listener/app.
Thank you! _________________ Bazinga! |

Unless you really need it - don't use it - it increases the risk of problems with MQ. |

Have a read of THIS first, then THIS. Bear in mind that if you have a mix of FASTPATH and non-FASTPATH applications, should one of the FASTPATHs trash your queue manager then all applications will lose service. By definition, any application not using FASTPATH is un-trusted and therefore should not be allowed connection to a queue manager which has a FASTPATH application running. _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |
