Hi all,
Is it possible to trace and log the following indicators of queue manager's activity:
- numbers of PUT and GET operations over specified periods of time,
- average durations of these operations?
Is there any out-of-the-box way of doing this on HP-UX (I know # of PUTs and GETs can be traced on the mainframe)?

I can recommend Candle Command Center for MQSeries.
It shows, among other data, the number of PUTs and GETs. I'm not sure if it is possible to get more detailed statistics like duration of those operations. _________________ Marcin Grabinski <>< |

If you are running version 5.3, you could write an API exit to track these.
These are documented in Chapter 15 of the Application Programming Guide. |

Look at performance event statistics in MQSeries Programmable System Management.
You can use it to collect max number of messages on a queue, a number of put and get for this queue. _________________ Regards.
