Hello,
I'm trying to use amqmsrvn to specify the user to run WMQ service for WMQ V 6.0.2.11. Is it secure to do so? After I have committed the action, will it possible for anybody to recover the password I input with this command in any way? _________________ Bazinga! |

Well, you have to provide the userid / password, so not a good idea to have someone looking over your shoulder as you type!
As far as I know, amqmsrvn registers the userid/password into the secure vault the same as any other DCOM object would if scheduling to run as a different userid. MQ does not store it in its own files / registry anywhere.

I've never found that you could, but possibly - but even it its possible, I suspect it would be only when you already have Administrative rights on the machine and you could therefore also do it for any other dcom process. |

Thanks very much for the details! That's really clear. _________________ Bazinga! |
