We have created a XX DNS file in order to connect to Oracle Db but now we would like to known the file location of this file.Does broker set up anything in such a way that all DNS defined will be present in one particular directory.Please help..........

So you mean you have created a properly formatted Message Broker odbc.ini file?
And you're trying to figure out where Broker will look for it?

Broker will look for it at the location specified in the ODBCINI environment variable.

Is it mandatory to fill in the INSTALLDIR,TRCFill and TRACEDLL at mandatory stanza................Because here at var/mqsi/odbc.ini i see only the oracle DNS and oracle stanza are filled in .I dont see any of the mandatory stanza is filled in.

It is easier and recommended to use the odbc.ini sample file from the broker installation directory. You will have format for different databases there.

I am not contradicting on what you said mqjeff, I was just trying to add to your statement about the location of the file you mentioned. I should have constructed my statement properly but was in hurry so submitted without checking it.
My intention was towards the original post and not your response.
