After a very quick glance at the page you referenced - without opening any of the links there - it seems to me that Web Service Eventing might be an effort to standardize something that is already implemented in Message Broker as Business monitoring... |

In general, broker is very good at documenting the things that it DOES support, such that if you don't find reference to it in the documentation, that means it IS NOT supported - at least officially.
You can always open a PMR to get an official answer. |

WMB Monitoring or Web Service 'Eventing'? Horses for courses, I'd say. |

Now I had to read the specs.
It seems WS-eventing is just publish-subscribe for web services the way ws-addresssing is asynchronous messaging for web services.
So it's not a way of receiving automatic status information of asynchronous service requests that have not yet been responded to, as I first thought...
WMB should not act as a service endpoint, so supporting WS-eventing as such does not seem to make sense. From WMB point of view supporting WS-eventing would be a configurable mechanism for redirecting subsriptions and publications that would be able to bridge protocols, too, I suppose? |

You're right. I ment to say: "WMB should not implement a service". I know you will disagree that, too.
I seems I need a break. Merry Christmas! |

In fact, I do disagree with that too.
But I'm specifically not saying you're wrong, just that I disagree.
