In asynchronous mode how will the sending application know that the message has been received? |

It won't, and it doesn't need to - it's ASYNCHRONOUS! _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

Of course, the "receiving" app could send a Reply Message back to the requesting (sending) apps reply-to-queue, indicating that the message was received (and processed).
WMQ offers two possible Report Messages (sent to the requesting apps reply-to-queue), COA and COD, that send Confirm on Arrival (at the destination queue), and Confirm on Delivery to a consuming application. The relative value of COA and COD have been discussed many, many times here. Please research here, and in the APG and APR manuals (or InfoCenter equivalents). _________________ I like deadlines.
