Hi,

before I'll ask my question I just say: I KNOW AMI IS DEAD LONG TIME AGO.... I just MUST using it for some tests, so please help me...

I'm trying to put a message on a queue that is on a QMGR in a differnet machine.
Using the "AMI Administration Toll", I set policy+service.
On the service section I set the queue+qmgr name,
and on the policy section I set:
*connection name = defaultConnection
*connection type = client
*client channel name = the channel name
*client TCP address = the remote machune IP

I'm using java to activate the process, I got an exception while trying to open the AmSender object with the policy above.

The error is:
[AmException] Completion Code[2] ReasonCode[49], ClassName [AmSender] methodName [open]

Trying the same thing on a local QMGR (even not the default one) works fine.

I am using MQ7 on WINXP.

again, i know AMI is deprecated, but I just must use it

As indicated here, are you using the full client install?

Or just the jar files you think you need?

OK, solved it out,
just need to add the port in the TCP address,

*client TCP address = the remote machune IP (port)
