seemingly add the sudden, i am seeing this error message in event logs... multiple attempts to restart EG and broker have failed. last resort is to reinstall broker... any ideas?

-------------------------------------
( MB7BROKER ) Message broker internal error: diagnostic information ''ImbConfigStoreCacheList::throwConfigStoreCacheListGenericException() reported 'File does not exist.' with values... ''CSCL0001'' ''The following file, required by the broker, does not exist. brokerresources''''.

An internal software error has occurred in the message broker. Further messages will indicate the effect of this error on the broker's transactions. The diagnostic information associated with this message is: ''ImbConfigStoreCacheList::throwConfigStoreCacheListGenericException() reported 'File does not exist.' with values... Shutdown and restart the message broker. If the problem continues to occur, then restart the system. If the problem still continues to occur contact your IBM support center.

Wow! Seems a bad install? Or corrupt file? Do you have a nightly backup?

Since you are on Windows 7 which is a 64-bit OS, make sure you have the right file: WebSphere Message Broker V7.0 Windows x86-64 (64-bit Broker runtime).

@lancelotlinc - yes, i have the 64 bit installer, fp 3
@Gaya3 - this was running just fine for weeks (new laptop) until today. have deloyed bars multiple times wthout issue and run the app clean. only event i can think of was a manual delete of an old EG folder from C:\ProgramData\IBM\MQSI\components\MB7BROKER\<guid> a few days ago. hate to think that is behind this.

Manually deleted EG resources does not update the Broker registry. You should always delete EG resources through the Explorer interface or by the mqsi commands. This is a likely suspect in the errors you are seeing.

I'd work on it for you for a case of Franks !

mqjeff might know of a way to re-sync the registry. I would delete the EG or delete the Broker instance and re-create the same.

all - had to completely remove default configuration and re-apply to clear the situation. note to self: don't manually delete anything under broker's control. thx much.

You could have gone in and edited the broker's internal xml files to also remove the entries that related to the missing EG and folder...

But that just leaves you in the same place, with a manually tweaked and therefore likely-to-be-unreliable Broker runtime.

Fine and dandy for sandbox envs, particularly if you're playing around with troubleshooting and error detection procedures... but anyone who thinks about doing so in production should be
