This may be a stupid question...

In WMB 7 - does the publication node still use the "old" RFH2 queued pub/sub interface?

If I want to use the newer features (like specifying a topic object name) of MQ v7 pub/sub (and I want nothing to do with RFH2 headers), should I use a MQoutput node instead?

Any examples of doing this? The infocentre seems to assume any publication is controlled with MQPSC, but surely this is now the old way?

You should be able to use either the RFH2 or the V7 properties. In either case use the publish node. Using the RFH2 we set the properties control of the stream queues to compat...
Have fun

How would I set a topic object name? It's not in the infocenter.

I don't know if you can set the topic object name or not.

I don't believe that MB v7 actually 'support's MQ v7 properties. It lets you set them using OutputRoot.MQRFH2, but I don't think that random values entered into OutputRoot.Properties will cause message properties to be set.

Not me. I tried setting a topic string (not an object name) in an RFH2 using WMBv7, and got a 2339 for my trouble. A spot of user trace indicates that the topic was null, despite being apparently set earlier up in the trace.

WMBv7.0.0.3, Windows XP, not a shred of further investigation done due to higher priority stuff turning up. Further testing on my to-do list.
