I am confused over additional instances funda

1. If i deploy a flow with additional instances of my single MQInput node to 5, does that mean same as i deploy the flow with additional instances 5 defined on bar file?

So that will essentially mean that in case we have only one input node, we can either deploy the additioanl instances of flow or that node and both will work the same way.

Please explain a bit
