I see websphere adapter nodes for Siebel, Sap and PeopleSoft. Is it true this will only work with the websphere adapters for these systems ? Are these adapters are separately priced ? We have Peoplesoft system, we like to know if we can use the nodes without additional costs. We are currently on 61 WMB and migrating to V7.

Any licensing question needs to be addressed to your friendly IBM rep.

Admin person in a small shop do not see the IBM rep very often. Can someone just help with the technical part if the WMB PeopleSoft Adapter node will work with PeopleSoft with the Websphere adapter ? We just want some information to plan our training requirement. We like to see if we need just PeopleSoft interface training or both PeopleSoft and Websphere adapter training.

The WMB nodes are themselves the full adapter. You don't, for example, need to install and configure a separate SAP Adapter to use the WMB SAPInput or SAPOutput nodes. You just need to configure the nodes to create the relevant inadapter or outadapter files and then deploy them.

But you need to be very very careful, and find a way to actually speak to your IBM rep, so that you do not develop and deploy a solution that then puts your company out of compliance with your licenses and causes management to a) look bad, b) have to pay additional fees after the fact.
