Getting a 2035 (not authorized) when I attempt to make a configuration change via M071. However, consider the following facts:
SRVCONN is configured with MCAUSER(MQADMIN) - this ok (not required to be MCAUSER('mqadmin') because the actual user on this VMS server is MQADMIN. - I can connect on this SVRCONN (a green light in M071) and I can get lists of MQ objects etc. but am not authorized to make any changes.
When I switch to a SVRCONN which does not have MCAUSER coded I cannot connect (no green light in M071).
My AD account on Windows does not exist as an account on the VMS server.
There is another SVRCONN with MCAUSER(MQM) configured but when I use this one I get the same results as with the MCAUSER(MQADMIN) SVRCONN.
I need to get M071 to work for admin on this queue manager. Ideas/Suggestions?
Would my assumption that MQADMIN on the server is within the mqm group, or whatever is the equivalent on that platform, be correct? What are the authorities for the SYSTEM.ADMIN.COMMAND.QUEUE? _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys.
