I was always intrigued by lawn bowling whenever I had the great opportunity to visit England.
For those that do not know about lawn bowing (800 year old game), it is played on grass greens which come in all shapes and sizes, fast, slow, big crown, small crown. These lawns are manicured grass or synthetic surface known as a bowling green which is divided into parallel playing strips called rinks. In the simplest competition, singles, one of the two opponents flips a coin to see who wins the "mat" and begins a segment of the competition (in bowling parlance, an "end"), by placing the mat and rolling the jack to the other end of the green to serve as a target. Once it has come to rest, the jack is aligned to the centre of the rink and the players take turns to roll their bowls from the mat towards the jack and thereby build up the "head". _________________ http://leanpub.com/IIB_Tips_and_Tricks

I have Played Cricket and competitive karante at national level and just the competion of both the games both are uncertain and no matter how much experienced you are, and how powerfull you are, you always get to see something new and always get to learn and make your self better and better so I find it quiet similar to MQ, and thats what about love about it , its always a challange, and as long you have the desire to learn, it will keep your head rolling. |

I've eaten crickets - dipped in chocolate. Crunchy. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

Also popular in Australia with the older generation as its a very social sport that is not too physically demanding. There must be more than a thousand rinks here. My father played until he was 85. Beats playing bingo.
The bowls can be thought of as MQ messages, going from one end of the rink to the other, and back again. _________________ Glenn |

This behavior (his saying that 'its a piece of cake' and your attempt to shame him) is counter-productive - it creates needless hostility.
Don't take it personally. Don't get involved in this type of petty bickering. Just smile, and rest assured that he is an idiot. Don't challenge him to a duel, and prove that you, too, are an idiot. |
Sure but it can get mighty irritating when management listens to that guy just because you didn't say anything... |
ankurlodhi, You walk out with smile after an immature statement from any guy about MQ, you can express the truth about MQ in front of management/Team when you are dealing with some MQ Concepts i.e. your advantage on him/her. anyways... A person with Good Knowledge Or A person willing to gain Good Knowledge is always being recognized by management.
WMQ is not a piece of cake, its a huge, organized, complex, well documented, effective, efficient..etc. package being provided by IBM. _________________ *Life will beat you down, you need to decide to fight back or leave it. |

i agree with you on this, but some people who just know about the surface of MQ they think its very easy,
actually its just that people over here want to know only enought that they can perform there work,
they don't take it like a specialization or carrier they just want to add things to there curriculam vitae so they can get a better salary hike. |

Welcome to the real world...
If you wish to specialise in WMQ, then gain the detailed knowledge that will give you an edge over others whom are just content to cruise. Remember, no one is indispensable, but you can make yourself pretty indispensable
And of course if your employer doesn't value your skills you can always take them elsewhere _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

yap I have taken MQ as my specializtion thats why i am here, I dont plan on being just an ordinary person who is an mq admin just for name and when the time comes to show your metal you are looking for a way to dauge the situation.
I want to go in depth of concept , actually thats the way i like things, why and how things happens and what are effects of it. |
