Why do you think you should get it?

Has your client disconnected at the time you do DIS CHS?
If your client was still connected I think you would see results from DIS CHS. |

How long is it *at all* possible that amqsputc could keep the client channel open?
Is there *any* way it is *at all* possible that amqsputc could do *anything* after it had quit?
How do you know when it has quit? |

No, because you keep asking such basic & potentially inflamatory things. Like asking about inetd in a v5.3 box, and the whole thing of counting listeners to see connections.
You also magnificently misunderstand or don't appear to hear what we're saying to you. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

vitor it's not like that, the scene is
In my team we are 2 mq people and i am junior so i am not usually given work just to learn, so i lack practical tackts, i know about the bookish things mostly,
now when my senior is out for sometime i have been given responsibilty and i giving my best to keep up to the expectations i just can't go anyone asking about mq
I feel this place can guide me to be a better professional, and as u said keep learning I have started to learn and not hesitate in doing practical thing now
that y i usually asked about the basic things, but i didn't mean to creat |

Yet you ask this question about channel status

This forum is by definition "anyone". You need to speak to your senior and/or his manager about getting you training and/or mentoring. At least highlight the risk of running the MQ estate at your site with 1 junior WMQ team member. What's the plan if this senior person is out & one of the queue managers crashes? Or an application starts getting persistent errors accessing a queue?

Which starts by reading the documentation.

the plan is if some thing very sevior happens like which i cant handle ,
My senior is an on call resource so my senior can login at time, if its required,
and I asked the question, of not getting the status because i didn't came accross it in the documentation,
I will give another try to the intercommunication about this, but i wanted to know if it can cause any further problem, and how can i fix it,
and about learning enought of just the books, i also need practis, so i am doin it. |

The DISPLAY command & all it's variations are clearly documented.

There's much, much more to the product documentation than the Intercommunication manual. Specifically for this post you need the Command Reference and the Clients sections.

So is your senior a site employee, or an outsourced support function? Becaure if he's an employee he should be on call less and training you more. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

He is an employee but he has gone to his home town, for few time as it's not quiet far,
and most off the time i ask him about things he say's search on google u will find it,
I feel bad from his answer sometime but i think learing by my own self will let me learn a few extra things too, rather then just getting to know only what i ask for. |

Your manager seems an accomodating sort. Ask about training.

Point out he's your senior, and an employee, and as such has an obligation to you. If that doesn't work, point it out to his manager.

Quite, but you need proper support and guidance. This is the wrong place to get it. I offer into evidience your previous thread about migrating a queue manager, which was a very basic task you made very heavy weather of. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
