Hi Folks pls
I have upgraded Mqseries from version 6.0 to 7.0.1 recently ,
After successful installation of MQ , while connecting queue managers which are there(6.0 version queue managers) and while trying to create new queue managers i am getting this error AMQ7155: License file not found or not valid ,
But remote queue managers i can be able to connect and queues and channels are working fine .Please help me out,
While googling i came to know some licence file is missing but i couldn't fuigure it out exactly ,Please

The simplest, most likely explanation for this is that you have installed JUST the FixPack for MQ v7, and NOT installed a base product.
That is, you downloaded the free fixpack for MQ, assumed that since it was cumulative, you didn't need to install anything else, and went ahead.
You need to go to your IBM entitlement page - likely Passport Advantage - and download the full licensed MQ media. Then uninstall MQ v7 on the server, install it AGAIN from the media you just got, and then REAPPLY the fixpack. |

Remote queue managers (i.e. not running on the box you've messed with) will have their own copy of the software.

If you've downloaded the trial version then you can do everything the trial license allows.
If you've just downloaded the Fix Pack that doesn't come with any license. You need a licensed version of WMQ, even a trial licensed version, or you get this message. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

That would do it. Given that you can't (as explained above) run just the fix pack.

The version is what it sounds like.
CMVC level shows any APARs you may have and is principally of use to IBM.
The build type should indicate full or trial. I'll defer to any passing IBMer on that point.
But obviously you know if you've installed the trial version or have the full version. Because you have control procedures over software, and take care not to use expensive software without a proper license. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
