Hi,
I am trying to create a SSL connection between W2k and AIX 5.1 Qmgrs
Earlier, I manage to get a personal certificate from http://www.globalsign.com.
Downloaded on to my IE.
I can view this certificate under IE contents...& have successfully assign to Qmgr running on W2k.
Now, I am having difficulties in putting this certificate under AIX Qmgr.
This is really painful task.
From what I understand, we require to have a key database file created first and then import this certificate into the .kdb.
But, its not working, what I did was start the gsk6ikm and select CMS as key database store, key in the kdb file name and the put the path to AIX Qmgr ssl directory.
After giving in the password and enabling stash option, the gsk6ikm gives me an error
An error occurred while inserting keys to the database.
I am not sure why this is happening, I also tried to use on another AIX machine, but still the same error message appearing on ikeyman GUI.
The version of MQseries is 5.3.0.1 . AIX version is 5.1. The logID I am using on AIX is root
Pls help me to resolve & advice, if I am doing anything incorrect, as this is quite urgent ..
Thanks |

known problem.
you should contact IBM service to ask for a correction
I don't know if this has been corrected in CSD 3.
In the meantime, you can use an other version of ikeyman, for example gsk5ikm from IBM Http Server.
After creating the CMS database, you can go back to gsk6ikm.
