I am looking at using SRDF replication of MQ and WMB filesystems across two sites, between a pair of AIX HA/CMP clusters (one pair at each site).
If anyone has used HA/CMP with SRDF in this manner, I would be interested in any hints, tips, caveats etc.
The performance issues are not a concern. I am more interested in the implications of having SRDF disks in a HA resource group (because only one cluster will be able to see the disk at any one time).
The HA failovers will only be local (at each site). But the filesystems will be on SRDF disks.
Synchronous - but the performance is OK. The sort of hints I am looking for include:
How to migrate existing QMs to this layout
How to set up new QMs (this is a bit like HA but worse because now it could run in four places, not two).
Operational procedures.
I can work all this out myself - but as always it helps to avoid re-inventing the wheel.
