Hi all
I wonder if it's possible to have 2 users set in the mqsisetdbparams for one Datasource (definied in the odbc.ini)? Because the Broker is always taking the last one that I set it in the mqsisetdbparams... is there any way using mqsisetdbparams or another thing in the broker? Or the only way is to give the user 1, access to schema from user 2 at database level?? Thanks in advance!!! |

AFAIK what you need to have is 2 DSN entries in your odbc.ini file for the same database. You can then assign a different user / password to each of the DSN entries.
So it's not 2 users for 1 datasource, it's 2 datasources for 1 database.
Have fun _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

Thanks for your answer!!! But at database level, we can otorgue permissions for User1 to "see" (for select tables) of User2 schema (like giving User1, permisions of sysdba... )? This would be another approach, dont you think so? Regardsss!!!! |

Remember user and password are defined at DSN level.
Multiple DSN's can point to the same Database. What you do at DB level is then up to you and the DBAs. You can make it so that the (default) schema for the user needs to be added in the call or not... _________________ MQ & Broker admin |
