Hi There,

I am working with tuning message broker load performance. To increase the processing of number of message, I have increased number of threads in bar file property (Additional Instance), Now i have increased number of threads(less than 250) to more than number of incoming message, i am not able to meet SLA. If i work on single message, i get proper result with in SLA.

My question is, is there any other property i need to set to get better performance.

Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Rag

You could try ensuring the code doesn't contend for resources (e.g. single threading on database updates).

But that's part of more generally finding out why the flows are behaving poorly rather than just changing parameters and seeing if it helps.

You could also (as part of the general investigation) see what the server hosting the broker says about load. Increasing the number of instances to 250 could easily have run the box out of memory and/or CPU.

First find your problem. Then fix your problem.

If you attended

http://www-304.ibm.com/jct03001c/services/learning/ites.wss/us/en?pageType=course_description&courseCode=WM663

you would have learned valuable troubleshooting techniques, including the fact that tuning thread instances beyond a number around ten does not help performance that much.
