hi,
I'm trying to setup Webclient using Webspshere AES...
I created a configuration using configuration utility...
Can't I change the existing configuration to set the webclient? If so how?
When I try to create new config using fmczutil, I'm getting the following error FMC33888E WebSphere could not be found at location 'C:\WebSphere\AppServer'. even I select websphere option or 'other' option... as below

FMC33777I Select application server ...:
w ... ( ) WebSphere
o ... (X) Other

can anyone tell me why is that so?

I am afraid you can't do that. The best thing is to have another configuration with just web-client component in that configuration.

Is WAS installed on that box. If yes is it installed in the Directory you mentioned.

Keep your WAS running.

Also letting us know the versions and patch levels also helps
MQ, MQWF, WAS

Jack:

I think you are almost there.

"cjw" is the best way to go (your second try in the above).

Is there a directory called "C:\WebSphere\AppServer" on the box.
Also, can you try "C:\WebSphere"

Never worked with MQWF 330, sorry

I have never worked with MQWF 330. Maybe 330 doesn't understand WAS 4.0. Is it possible for you to install 332 or later versions of MQWF.

Because the config utility (332) doesn't list the same options to me as it is doing for you.

I have four options

Code:
   FMC33777I Select application server ...:
     w ... ( ) WebSphere 3.x
     f ... ( ) WebSphere 4.0 (EAR)
     o ... (X) Other (Servlet API 2.1)
     j ... ( ) Other (WAR / EAR)

If at all possible, I would suggest you go up rather than down.
The latest are WF 3.4, MQ 5.3, WAS 5. So you will be atleast 2 levels below. I am sure none of them that you are trying is supported anymore.

Also: somebody with MQWF 330, can you confirm that MQWF 330 doesn't work with WAS 4.

Thanks

ya..u r true..

I also have the same question ...

can someone answer
whether MQWF 330 supports WAS 4?

where do I get MQWF 332 or MQWF 4 trial versions? if so..can anyone know the links in IBM website as I couldn't find any trial versions to download?

Is there any WAS V 3.x trail version available to download?

There are no trial versions for this product.

There was, a while back though. I seriuosly doubt if it is still available.
