Hey guys,

I had a question w.r.t WBI (xworlds) SAP adapter vs the SAP JCA adapter with MB7.0
What is the difference? Apart from the JCA being tightly coupled with the message flow, i don't see any difference.

Infact assume the below scenerio.
SAP system is down and unavailable. Atleast with WBI, the messages inbound to SAP are stored on a queue, where as with JCA it goes to error if you have your try/catch terminals wired.

Do you see any differences with the two? Thanks for your inputs in advance.

Regards,
Vishal

I would say there lots of differences...

1) in V7 JCA technology is used for all of the EIS adapters not just SAP..

2) It uses JC0 version 3..

3) For SAP it provides in flow development of ALE, AEP, BAPI as well as more offering RFC enabled of inbound and outbound processes and tRFC which I think you are hinting it with your last statement. Using tRFC I think you can enable assured once event delivery which will provide the same as WBI..

The other main thing is in V7 its all in-built flow development, WBI is another product deployed and maintained with config files etc and suited to iDoc through transactions perhaps more than the excellent functionality now offered in v7.

Very brief stuff but the infor centre has all the info..

Remember that iDocs are deprecated as of V7. However, like the XML parser they will still be usable for some time to come.

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions.
