Hi !
On a Windows box i have a MQ manager that use Linear log.
Ones a day the program rcdmqimg release the logs that are no longer required for the manager.

All the released logs are stored and kept .

Is it possible to find a messages in the old log and restore it ?

One of the sponsors of this site supply a tool that will achieve what you want. The question is, why would you want to?

Then it wasn't 'lost', it was processed according to a user requirement...

The only thing I'm aware of to do this is the 3rd party tool mentioned by my most worthy associate.

Which you can get the user in question to pay for, and then have in your toolbox for free!
