It's a full client install that amqsgetc seems to believe in, and I'm given to understand that to make a managed connection we'd need a different transport property. Or do we? Note to self: check setting of NM_LIB_whatever.....

Try the .NET sample app that mvic mentioned.
And, again, confirm that you are using an address that actually reaches the TCP/IP stack, which it is entirely possible that neither localhost nor 127.0.0.1 do. |

No we didn't. Other imperatives caused us to sidestep the problem by passing the details in the MQQueueManager constructor rather than setting them in the MQEnvironment.
It's on my list of things to look into when I have time. Unlike posting the results on this thread, which slipped my mind completely.  _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
