Hello all,

I'm running mqseries v5.2 on an os/390.
I'm trying to see the incoming channels ip address using a runmqsc 'chstatus' command, but in the conname field, it fills in the sending qmgr name.
This same command on a Unix box (v5.2 csd4), gives me the ip address of the incoming channel.

Is this a capabiltiy unix mq has and os/390 doesn't?

Probably.....

All I can say is it seems to work the same way here.

I checked out the 5.2 & 5.3 MQSC manuals.

For 5.2 is says that CONNAME contains the IP address but might also contain the hostname.

For 5.3 it says that CONNAME contains the IP address but for SAVED or SHORT status it might contain the hostname.

No idea if the coimmand has changed or only the doc... .

If you really want to know, maybe you'd better open a call with IBM ?
