So this is the year 2011. I forgot to make this joke in January, but I remembered yesterday that I meant to...
MQRC 2011 is MQRC_DYNAMIC_Q_NAME_ERROR.
Have you run into situations that appear to fit?
I know I get phone calls from people that ask me to follow up by email, but don't include their email address... I think this counts as an MQRC_DYNAMIC_Q_NAME_ERROR, in that they forgot to specify a proper ReplyToQ....
There's also a large amount of coincidence in next year and the year after. There's a lot of joking rumors about Mayan mathematics claiming to predict the end of the world in 2012 - and a few bad movies, as well - and MQRC 2012 is MQRC_ENVIRONMENT_ERROR...
And MQRC 2013 is MQRC_EXPIRY_ERROR, which means that the world didn't expire in 2012! |

It's the spirit of WMQ's assured delivery. It was always going to make it, but you couldn't be sure when.
I was forced to trout some people yesterday who reported that "WMQ's not working" in the test environment. The problem was traced to the application using hard-coded values (like queue manager name) that matched development not test rather than reading the environment specific values helpfully provided in a database. Their reason for doing this?
"We don't want to slow our application down reading the database every time it starts".
Given that this application is a back end service started automatically at 8:00am and closed at 7:00pm I indicated that the overhead probably wasn't onerous.
More a lack of dynamic name error I suppose. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

however, following this line of thought the year 2015 doesnt look so good! |

The world existed just fine before 2001. |

Just fine? With nothing but NEON/MQSI? Fine? Fine?
JMS was a support pac and clusters were what you made junior MQ admins get working when you wanted to punish them. Fine? _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

I have to admit it's getting better. |
