I have an application making a client connection to a z/OS qmgr. We are at z/OS 1.11 and MQ v7.0.1 for z/OS.
The Userid being used is defined to RACF and the application seems to connect successfully. However, the app gets a 2035 when opening the queue for read access even though this qmgr has an MQQUEUE Profile that allows all userids Update access to the queue they are accessing. The ICH408I message is showing access intent(read) access allowed(none) from the Profile cited above.
I can see that the userid being used has the Restricted attribute on it. Could this be the reason why RACF is not allowing the queue to be opened?
Thanks. |

The ICH RACF message indicates exactly what failed. The application (TSOid, addressspaceid, whatever) has insufficient access. Hand this to the RACF folks. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.
