Hello,
I read this in InfoCenter:
Quote: |
You launch the XPath Expression Builder from buttons that are within:
Table cells, located to the right of the text entry field within the cell.
Add or Edit dialogs used to construct rows within tables, located to right of the property field concerned.
Tabs in the property viewer for a node, to the right of a property field.

I'm doing mappings. But I never see any button to open an Xpath builder. I've checked out the "Spreadsheet pane" & "Edit pane" and "Target Pane"... and everywhere else in the mapping editor. Isn't the Xpath expression editor supposed to be anywhere? If the button is not visible, is there any key combination to open it?
Thanks~ _________________ Bazinga! |

This is not used within the Mapping editor.
It's used in other places where XPath expressions are available. |

Hello, thanks for the reply!
I think the mapping editor is heavily relying on XPath expressions.
Ain't we using Xpath expressions to map sources to targets?
If the XPath builder is not applicable to the mapping node, would you please give an example where I can open the builder? _________________ Bazinga! |

I do not say that I think it makes sense that you can't use the XPath expression builder in the Mapping node. I merely say that it's not there.
You can otherwise find it at the mentioned locations within the Properties pane for a relevant node. |
