We're working with W2K servers. When we reboot a machine, the password of the MUSR_MQADMIN master account has gotten screwed-up and MQSeries will not work.
Initial Manifestation: MQSeries running as an automatic service does not start-up the way it's supposed too. Try to start manually at this point, and it will not.
To get it to run (so far), we have the following manual workaround:
1. Using W2K users and groups, we set a new password for MUSR_MQADMIN account.
2. Then we run dcmconfg and make sure the password entry for same account associated with IBM MQSeries is the same value (that's the problem: the two values become different for some reason).
3. Then back to Services, where we manually start MQSeries. It starts this time.
I know when you first install MQSeries, MUSR_MQADMIN account is created and configured (incl. system-generated password). And then, you're not supposed to have to ever "worry about it" again (right).
Has anyone had this same problem? Suggestions? Should we start from scratch and re-install MQSeries on those machines?
