Hello ,

We have configured MQ on MSCS cluster .The issue when we run the
IBM MQ Resource command haregtyp to register it .
We can see the resource added and when we configure it , we are not able to see the possible owners as both node .

We only see the node where we ran the haregtyp.

I was going through MSCS on windows 2008 do we have to go through the
In contrast to the group scheme used in the MSCS Cluster Administrator on previous versions of Windows, the Failover Cluster Management tool uses the concept of services and applications. A configured service or application contains all the resources necessary for one application to be clustered. You can configure a queue manager under MSCS as follows:
Right-click Services and Applications > Configure a Service or Application ... to start the configuration wizard.
Select Other Server on the "Select Service or Application" panel.

But I am not configuring this way. We already have a clutser node so I am just adding there the IBM resource type.

Any suggestions.

Thanks

The advice I gave in THIS post still pertains, but to reiterate: "...Speak to your Windows Sys Admins and get them to sort out the Windows-level issue, i.e. ensure the hardware cluster is properly configured and working, then follow the Info Centre to set up a queue manager etc..."

Also, thank you for starting a new post

The cluster is working . If we add some other resource type it is showing both the nodes only the IBM MQ resource type is having the issue.

Thanks

1. Have you created and migrated a queue manager to run under MSCS?
2. Why are you "...not configuring this way..." in regard to the WMQ resource, as per the Info Centre?

The issue was fixed by manually entering the the nodes on the windows registry.

Thanks

I strongly suggest you raise a PMR because you should not have to do that; it suggests that something is 'broken'.
