We are experiencing a problem with the Install Preview flag of SMIT; although we set this to "No", it resets to "YES" during the installation and as such no files are installed. We tried another CD, re-install AIX 5.1 OS and we are still experiencing problems.

Any suggestions are welcome!

Page 15 of the Quick Beginnigs guide; item number 8 for AIX 5.1; the instructions read as follows

8a. Change Preview new LICENSE agreements? to yes and click OK to view the license agreement.
8b. Change ACCEPT new license agreements ? to yes and click OK to accept the license agreements and install Websphere MQ.

We did changed both 8a and 8b to yes at the same time and submit the install. Apparently having 8a set to "yes" resets the Install Preview flag to yes as well.

We fixed the problem by leaving the default of 8a "no" and changing 8b to "yes".
