Are there any commands to find out whether mq client is installed or not on a unix box ? |

lslpp -l
is the command to show the packages installed., you can use the pipe and grep commands to filter the output of 'lslpp -l' based on your requirements.

I strongly recommend that you should be reading 'Info Center' to know the helpful mq commands MQSC/PCF/ControlCommands !

I think you've skipped the post where I've mentioned the link, about what command is used in which O.S. to view the packages installed.
