Hi

I am trying to connect from broker 7 to oracle database. I am getting below error after creating a new odbc.ini file and exporting the ODBCINI env variable to use the new file.

My odbcini file looks like this

[NAME]

Driver=/opt/mqsi/7.0/ODBC/V6.0/lib/UKora24.so
Description=DataDirect 6.0 Oracle
EnableDescribeParam=1
OptimizePrepare=1
ServerName=xxxx
WorkArounds=536870912
ProcedureRetResults=1
ColumnSizeAsCharacter=1

When i test i am getting the below error.

Error Insert.Text[libbipodbc.so]Child SQL exception. Error Insert.Text[IM002] Error Insert.Text[0] Error Insert.Text[[DataDirect][ODBC lib] System information file not found. Please check the ODBCINI environment variable.]]



I checked the path and the lib file is there. Please let me know what could be wrong.

it's complaining that it can't find the odbc.ini file, that you have said you have created and pointed at using the ODBCINI variable.

So either the export didn't work or you didn't set the variable right... or there are maybe some APARs in this area, it wouldn't hurt to update to 7.0.0.2 if you're not there yet.

Hi,

I did the export again and restarted the broker. Now its giving a different error

Caught exception and rethrowing. Root SQL exception. Error Insert.Text[-1] Error Insert.Text[RMS_DB] Error Insert.Text[libbipodbc.so]Child SQL exception. Error Insert.Text[60] Error Insert.Text[1509] Error Insert.Text[[IBM][ODBC 20101 driver]1509] )
