Hi,
I have a windows 7 laptop that already has MQ 7 and Broker 7 installed. When looking at the MQ 7 explorer, I can see that I have the option to create a Broker. When I attempt to do this (by using the "Create the default configuration" button) I am presented with the error:
"The wizard is not available because user[Chris] must be a member of the local 'Administrators' group to continue."
I've had a look and my profile is a member of the following groups:
Administrators
DB2ADMNS
mqbrkrs
mqm
I've been trying to find something that'll help on the IBM site but nothing seems to be helping.
Does anybody know what I'm missing ?? |

Hi,
Yes, that does work, it seems that even though I'm an administrator, Windows has some elevated privileges for the Administrator logon.
To apply a slightly more permanent fix to this, I amended the shortcut to always run MQ as an administrator (found in the Compatability" tab.
Thanks for the assist. |
