I have a Websphere MQ installed in the remote system. I tried to view the messages passed in the queue manager using 'Rfhutilc'. I set the environment variable with right port number, everything correct. But the Rfhutilc not displaying any messages not even a error message. Rfhutilc stays motionless.
Please share your ideas over this issue.

what do you expect to happen after rfhutilc was started?

what do you mean by motionless? frozen? not reacting? or just awaiting your orders?

did you verify you have network connection to that queuemanager?

after starting rfhutilc, what happens if you put in the qmgr name and a valid q name and press browseQ button?

Thanks Butcher for looking into my issue.

1. I set the environment variable for rfhutilc and executed rfhutil.exe. The rfhutil opens fine.
2. I gave the qmgr name and the queue name in the respective tabs. Then clicked the BrowseQ button. Rfhutilc is not reacting.

3. What do you mean by "Network connection to Queue manager" ?

can you paste what you have set in the env variables ?

Are you sure that the queue you are browsing has some messages on it ?
If no messages on it then do you see some 'message' in the box below like "14.27.58 2033 No messages in queue" ?
Have you tried connecting dummy qmgr and queue that are defined on your local, for just testing ?

What do you mean by '...not reacting...'? Do you see any messages appear in the lowest box of the Main tab?

You are using the client version so it pretty obviously means '...can you connect to the queue manager across the network?...'.

Forget about setting the MQEnvironment variables.
Into the qmgr box of RFHUtilc put the value of the MQServer variable:
Code:
CHANNELNAME/TCP/hostname(port)

If you use SSL there is a button on the first tab for that...

Have fun

@bharathj
you have mentioned rfhutil and rfhutilc in your multiple posts, I believe you are confused a bit in each of those and its usage ! (Please re-read the ih03.doc or pdf )

I seem to recall that the utility requires that some button or other needs to be pressed to actually make it do something.
