I'm upgrading some .Net 1.1 applications to .net 4. The new applications are going to run on Windows Server 2008 (64bit).

Which MQ client should I download?

I've tried WebSphere MQ 6.0 Client download, but the amqmdnet dll references .Net framework v1.0.5000 (.Net 1.1) which is not available at the 2008 Server.

Are there a client which have been compiled against .Net 2.0 or newer?

I use Version 7 with clustered Windows 2008 server. .Net 4 is used to compile some monitoring apps.

Use MQ v701 with latest fixpack. This will work with .NET Framework 2 and above.

Same thing with clustered Windows server

Version 6 worked previouly, now at running 7.0.1.3 and some at 7.0.1.4 (7.0.1.4 has issue with clustered window server due to some SID identificaiton, It not suggested in clustered windows until another patch is release.)

Hello MQCardinal,
Do you have link that talks more on the SID identification issue?
Thanks.

Sorry it took a while to answer. Was busy and decided to look back over forum!

This error was told to us by IBM and is not yet release or I couldn't find it in the IBM web site!

The active.dat and master.dat file will contain the SID of the local MQM group, which when your cluster fail over the now new MQM of that other server has a different SID for it'S MQM group, which caused it to fail over again ...
