In case we have message broker installed in windows, we can set the service as automatic and we see that broker starts when we start the machine

Suppose a linix server goes down.will broker start automatically der also
Is there some file we need to put or some settings to be done der

Yes there is a way to have your broker start and stop automatically in Linux.
Talk to your Linux Admin person.

Have fun

I agree with FJB on this.

The vast majority of Broker admins/devs don't have the skills to set this sort of thing up. This is firmly in the Linux Sysadmin Area especially if you are looking at auto failover.

I suppose I'm one of the lucky ones here. I've been doing Unix/Linux sysadmin longer than I have been using Broker. I've even educated our Linux Admins on the virtues of kickstart files...
Speak nicely about your requirements to your Sys Admin.

There is a support pac (MSL1) to autostart QMs on Linux, just install it and it works.

There is an option to run WMB as a queue manager service. That's what I would look at.

That might be 'too automatic' for some sites. I tend to prefer to use a 'hacked' version of the MSL1 script to control the broker as a separate entity.
