On a WMQ 7.0.1.3 install on AIX, the following fileset was missed out from the install mqm.jre.rte
This is entirely our fault and will be corrected - however no-one has actually reported any problems, so I wondered if any IBMer could enlighten me as to what WMQ (or WMB 6.1) functions might rely on this JRE being present? |

No, the SSL key management interface ( gsk7ikm) needs the JRE in the mqm.keyman.rte fileset. I think the only WebSpere MQ components on AIX that will use the one in mqm.jre.rte are the sample Postcard application and Default Configuration Wizard. I can't speak for WMB.

Thanks for the info.
Do you think there is any need to stop the running QMs when installing only this particular fileset? |

Probably not, but it would be prudent to do so.
Do you have any other java5 or greater JVM installed on the box? and if yes is it 32 or 64 bit? _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

Each WMB has its own JVM and we have WMB 6.0, 6.1 and 7.0 installed.
I am fairly sure nothing uses this WMQ 7 JVM since it's been missing for a couple of months and no-one has complained! |
