The MQ7 Information Center says:
Quote: |
Are you installing WebSphere® MQ on a network where the domain controller is on a Windows 2000 or Windows 2003 server? If so, you probably need to obtain a special domain account from your domain administrator. |
Shouldn't the MQ admin need (probably) to obtain a special domain account if the domain controller is installed on Windows 2008 Server? |

Probably. You might want to open a PMR to have IBM update the InfoCenter to reflect the current version of Windoze.
Or, you can guess that what applies to Windoze 200x, also applies to 200y. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

It works the same in W2K8 as the others. There is a section entitled Windows 2000 domain with non-default, or Windows 2003 and Windows Server 2008 domain with default, security permissions, which gives the detail information required.
bruce, ivanachukapawn, there's a Feedback selection on each page of the Info Centre.
If you navigate to the page where you got that information (Security considerations?) and hit the feedback button, it will display a form with the relevant document page details you want to feedback on already pre-filled for you. _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

Yes. It is the preferred and correct way to get clarification on or updates made to the documentation. It is, essentially, a PMR for the documentation team.
Opening a real PMR with Support is the long way around. |
