Hello
I have checked every jar file in MQ java/lib directory and I cannot find com.ibm.mq.constants package and MQConstants class in any of them. Must I download the jar separately, is it in some support pack? Or am I just plain stupid?
I have had the same problem earlier and ended up using the deprecated MQC class instead. |

I think there is a good reason for hiding that package. If you use one of the constants in your java compute node, JVM runtime will load MQConstants class with 2 million static fields...
Any comments? |

I'm not sure what your meaning is. I use it all the time. If you intend to send MQ messages from a Java program, it is required. I have not noticed any performance impact regarding this class. Is there some problem you are having that maybe we can help you with? _________________ http://leanpub.com/IIB_Tips_and_Tricks

Yes. I cannot find the jar where the class is packaged. |

Thanks,
I was sure I checked that one twice, too. It seemed to contain only localized properties files... must have got bored before reaching the end.
I think I must vitorize my avatar before anyone recognizes me... |

What do you mean? Everyone on site says it's a really good likeness. My wife claims it's my best side. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

I regret to inform you that you no longer have as much hair as your avatar does.
