I also learned a valuable lesson that there is no way to restore a deleted file on *NIX systems.

A Unix admin once told me, rebooting the Unix server to effect a configuration change is like draining the blood to cure a sinus infection. One thing I really like about Unix systems in general is the stability, especially when compared to Windows servers, which have to be rebooted every few days.

And I guess everyone here knows how much I like Power7 AIX.

I'm glad I'm not the only one from a larger shop that posts here. I began to feel lonely as my friend Vitor keeps telling me I am one-of-a-kind to work in a place with more than one developer.

Best of luck to you sir.

With respect, that's a misquote. I consider you one of a kind to work in a shop with the level of automation & control you're blessed with. I have (if you remember) complained that my current site is atypically trying to to perform development on broker with me and some inadequately cross-trained mainframe & .NET people.

I'm personally used to a much larger development staff (WMB & non-WMB).

@Vitor

Ah yes, I do remember now. Thank you for helping to jog my memory, Sir Vitor.

We had same issue, all broker mqsi commands were just hung.

Issue was found due to a NFS mount not found errors (which is not even used by Broker), It was resolved after unmounting it .
