I am using WAS 7.0.0.13 with WESB 7.0.0.3 on RHEL 5.5
When my client tries to write to a queue on the server, I get the following error:
Code: |
Exception at stage "Getting a JNDI Queue Connection Factory: "jndi_CF""
NamingException -> "Error getting WsnNameService properties"
Caught Exception
java.lang.NullPointerException
at connection.JMSConnection.makeQueueConnection(JMSConnection.java:5
at testType.JMS_PTP.setupMsgTransportProtocol(JMS_PTP.java:328)
at testType.JMS_PTP.run(JMS_PTP.java:810) |
My client has java 1.6
What I do not understand is that I have used the same client writing to the same queue on a different machine successfully with WAS 7 and RHEL 5.5. Same setup. Same client.
What does this error actually indicate.
Thanks in advance. |

I just turned off the firewall on both the server and the client, but I still get the error.
Any ideas |

I specified the server name in the hosts file of my client, and everything started working WITH THE FIREWALL OFF
Even when I open up ports 2809 and 7276, I still get the same error with the firewall on.
ANyone know which port I should open up in addition to the two specified in the last sentense ? |

First of all, what kind of application do you have? Is your Java app stand-alone or something running inside WAS. What is the messaging provider? Default messaging or WebSphere MQ
To find port numbders, in your admin console for the WAS server, if you click on the app server, you will see ports. |
