I read several posts (and the manuals) regarding AdoptNewMCA, and AdoptNewMCACheck and I think I understand what the parameters do.

Channels:
AdoptNewMCA=ALL
AdoptNewMCACheck=ALL

But the manuals say the 2 parameters are valid for z/OS only.

Can anyone please confirm if they are applicable to Windows ? I see them through MQ Explorer but don't know if they are applicable to Windows 2008.

We use MQ v7.0.1 on Windows 2008 servers (64-bit platform). Do the parameters have any effect if we set them on Windows ? We have already set TCPKeepAlive=Yes.

Which 'manuals', and where exactly within those 'manuals' because I can't find it for both? According to the one I read, the first is a value within the CHANNELS stanza of the qm.ini file (UNIX) or visible within the Channels queue manager properties page in WebSphere MQ Explorer, so in Windows it's probably buried in the registry; only the second is z/OS only.
