Our client, a global fund management company, seeks a MQ specialist with 4+ years strong experience with MQ v6/v7. The role is to support the company's main messaging hub and payments gateway on a 24x7 basis.
The role is based in London and you need to have a visa to work in the UK or be a UK citizen. It is a contract role duration -3 months but tht right candidate is likely to get extended.
The following skills and experience are required: Excellent working knowledge of Solaris/Unix and Windows is essential. Installation, patching and upgrades of MQ. SSL configuration of MQ. Creation and maintenance of MQSC scripts. Troubleshooting and problem determination. Good knowledge of network protocols and infrastructure within a large corporate environment. General MQ administration. Deployment of planned and emergency changes. Unix and Windows Scripting. Qpasa monitoring software.
Any experience working with IBM message broker is a plus. Good communication skills.
Previous experience working within financial institutions is highly desirable although not essential.
Rate will be £400-450 per day dependent on experience.

Probably not (or it would say so) and I imagine there are plenty of locals seeking work in London, plus processing visas takes time and this is a contract. |
