Hello All,

In our MQ server, the file QMCH_STAT is occupying most of the space and our UNIX team wants to know if there is anything that can be done for that file.

I'm not sure how exactly it is useful for the working of MQ components.
So, please let me know the significance of this file and also please let me know if this can zipped/deleted/cleared...or do u want us to increase the file system space?

Thank in advance!!
Harish

I don't believe it is used by MQ.

But I think it is used by the Omegamon monitoring tool. So you might want to look at how much data that tool is collecting and how long it keeps it for.

Omegamon is now part of the Tivoli suite - ITM something I think its called these days. So I guess the answer to your question is Yes.

Search the internet for QMCH_STAT. It seems to be something relating to Omegamon, as fatherjack has said. (I bet he searched the internet..! Note for the future, it helps you more if you do that before posting here.)

Refer this to the folks in your company that know about Omegamon.

They might want to refer to IBM via a PMR, but also might be able to help you without doing that.
