Hi, coleagues. I have a client who has a license for mq v6 but not yet for v7, and he wants to develop own pub/sub applications.
Can someone tell us the reasons to do it starting with mq v7 and not to use mq v6, if there is a clear improvement to move to v7 ?
In other words, where can i find the big diferences of pub/sub under mqv6 and mqv7 ?
Is the API the same ?
Is the message format the same ?
I read mqv6 uses RFH1 and RFH2 for pub/sub but dont know if mqv7 does not use those headers ...
Any pointer ?
Thanks a lot. Sebastian. |

If you have a v6 license with maintenance paid, you can upgrade to v7. |

If you have a v6 license with no current maintenance being paid, you can still upgrade to v7 (plus any fixpacks you want), if v7 was available at the point in time when you last paid maintenance (this is my understanding, ask IBM to confirm). |
