Hi

We are using IBM Websphere MQ in our production system.
From long back, one small question is breaking my head, how the MQ system is storing the incoming messages in Queue in file system or any mechanism.
For both Persistent and Non-Persistent Messages.

And How Logging is related to this storing. etc.

I m not able to find correct reference also to find out this information.

Please help me ....

Thanks in Advance
Santosh

the effort you have spent to find that information must have been tremendous .....

see links above for library and info center and read concepts and components (well, read all others too)

however, the code how this is done is not shown....... its is explained on a functional level.

Messages are stored in a proprietary (non-documented, non-disclosed) manner.

How logs are used is well-documented in the WMQ System Administration manual. Download and read. Look in the index or table of contents for the words logs, restart and recovery.

Your curiosity is noted and appreciated. We all ponder these kind of questions.

IBM is obligated to meet the objectives defined (quite well) in the WMQ manuals (Application Programming Reference , Application Programming Guide, System Administration, Intercommunications, etc.). IBM is not obligated to describe exactly how it meets those objectives for each platform, o/s, and network protocol.

Occasionally, someone will discover how some internal thing seems to work; but IBM is not obligated to maintain that internal method - only to conform to what is documented in the manuals.
